Police in Warren are investigating after a man hit another man over the head multiple times with a crowbar.

According to the police report, the incident happened on the 1500 Block of Larchmont Avenue shortly before 9:30 Wednesday night.

Police spoke with a woman who was covered in blood who told officers that her boyfriend was assaulted with a crowbar by someone by the name of "Ray" showing a Facebook profile of a man with the name "Ray Reynolds."

The woman told police the man went to her aunt's house on Larchmont. When police visited the address the woman gave, no one was there.

Police then spoke with the male victim who had two severe wounds at the top of his head. The victim told police the suspect confronted him with a group of kids about his girlfriend's son allegedly stealing a bicycle.

The man told police the suspect started "scraping" before eventually hitting him over the head multiple times with a crowbar and fleeing on foot.

Police say dispatchers ran records on the name "Ray Reynolds," but got no results. Police say the Facebook name could have been an alias.

No arrests have been made at this time.
