The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) has just wrapped up its Move Over enforcement week with at least one violation being reported in all three Mahoning Valley counties.

Mahoning County had the highest number of violations out of all 88 Ohio counties with a total of 44 violations within the enforcement period of July 21 through July 27.

This is not the first time Mahoning County had topped the list of move over violations during this enforcement period. In 2018, Mahoning County had 90 violations reported, which was the most out of all 88 counties.

Meanwhile, Columbiana and Trumbull Counties had a considerably lower violation count with Trumbull County reporting eight violations and Columbiana County only reporting one.

During the weeklong enforcement period, troopers were cracking down on drivers who did not move over for stopped vehicles with flashing lights including, but not limited to Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) vehicles, emergency vehicles, tow trucks and police cruisers.

If you are unable to change lanes due to traffic, you're still asked to slow down if you see a stopped vehicle with flashing lights.
