A Hubbard man arrested in connection with a deadly crash in Liberty faces a trial on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence.

On Wednesday, The Trumbull County Grand Jury handed up the charges against 25-year-old Dylan Vrancich who State Troopers say ran a car into a utility pole along Colonial Drive in Liberty Township on May 17.

The accident claimed the life of a passenger in the car, 41-year-old Nicholas Thompson of Youngstown.

Unsafe speed contributed to the crash, according to Troopers who say Vrancich was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's crash report shows that Vrancich's blood alcohol concentration was .210% after the crash.
