Ohio Fraternal Order of Police doesn't endorse Brown or Moreno in U.S. Senate race
After 12 years of giving him their endorsement, the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police has voted against doing it again for Sen. Sherrod Brown during this election cycle.
The order also declined to endorse his opponent, Bernie Moreno in what is considered a tight election.
This decision to not endorse Brown comes down to a tweet made by Sen. Brown three years ago, expressing frustration that a 16-year-old girl was shot and killed in Columbus, according to reporting from WLWT in Cincinnati.
It's important to note that the girl was holding a knife and was threatening the life of another.
While Brown is leading Moreno, it's still a tight race between the two.
Brown leads Moreno by just 5.2% according to the latest collection of average polling data by RealClearPolitics.
It's too early to tell how this non-endorsement will impact either in this race.
