Warren Police are investigating after a child accidentally overdosed on THC.

According to the report, the child was taken to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman Monday after the mother took her child out of her Pack 'N Play and noticed she was acting strange.

According to the release, the mother said she was given an edible containing THC by her friend a few months prior and found it the day before. After finding it, she placed it on her dresser.

After her daughter began acting strange, she checked her dresser and found that the edible was gone.

Police say the mother told them that the edible contained 10mg of THC. A drug test found that the child had THC in her system.

According to the report, the child is in good health.

Charges haven't been filed at this time.
