Youngstown man attacked by group using 'AK Style' weapon on city's south side
Police are investigating after a man on Youngstown's south side was reportedly attacked by 12 men - one using an "AK Style" weapon.
The incident happened on the 100 Block of East Philadelphia while the victim was returning from a nearby Gas Mart with cigarettes.
Around 9:30 p.m., he was surrounded and forced into the corner of a porch by "multiple people" and struck in the body several times, according to the report.
That's when one of the suspects put the rifle in the victims mouth and second rifle was pointed at their head.
One of the assailants, identified only as "G" reportedly is connected with one of the people the victim lives with and has stolen from them on multiple occasions.
After the attack, the victim was thrown from the porch, where he escaped and called for help after being chased by the mob.
Officers observed lacerations to the victim's head and arms. The victim also said he had pain in his chest following the attack.
None of the suspects have been arrested at the time of writing.
