Folks still hankering to celebrate the Slavic culture in the valley are in luck.

That's because the 19th annual Mahoning Valley Slovak Fest is set to happen August 11 from noon to 4 p.m.

It will happen at the St. Matthias Church Grounds in Youngstown, according to a news release from event organizers.

The event will feature plenty of Slovak food, a bake sale and multiple raffles.

Live music will provided by Gorska Muzicka, a group of student folk singers from Orava, Slovakia.

Additionally, there will be a Slovak Fest day on August 9 at the St. Christine Parish Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that will feature Slovak foods and entertainment also.
