A person is suspected of driving under the influence after a crash early Sunday morning in Mahoning County.

The two-vehicle crash happened just before 5:00 AM at South Bailey Road and Mahoning Avenue in North Jackson.

Police tell 21 News the driver of a white Chevy ran a red light hitting a truck.  A passenger in the Chevy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries while the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The driver of the truck was not injured. The crash is under investigation.
