Long-time Civil War reenactor Steffon Wydell and his research team will give a guided tour through the historic Oak Hill Cemetery on July 21 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The tour will highlight citizens who may not be as well-known as some of the more famous in the cemetery, and some interesting Civil War stories, like four brothers buried there who came to America from Ireland in 1850 and fought in the Civil War.

Anyone interested in joining the tour should arrive at the front entrance of Oak Hill Cemetery by 12:30 p.m. The guided tour is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.

The cemetery was established in 1854, and many of Youngstown's first settlers are buried here, including Daniel Sheehy; Colonel James Hillman; P. Ross Berry, master builder and architect; John Van Fleet, a member of the Underground Railroad; Caroline Bonnell Jones; Mary Hitchcock Wick and George Dennick Wick, both Titanic survivors and David Tod 25th governor of Ohio.

Monetary donations will be accepted for the tour.
