Youngstown couple accused of baseball bat attack on Chaney Circle
Police say they don’t know why three people were beaten with baseball bats on Youngstown’s Westside, while the children of the one of alleged assailants looked on.
Investigating reports of a large fight on Chaney Circle Monday evening, officers arrested 35-year-old William Profanchik and 34-year-old Patricia Foster on assault charges.
The police report says the fight began after the couple spotted an SUV on Chaney Circle that had stopped by their home on North Hazelwood earlier in the day.
Three alleged victims say they the two beat them with baseball bats and Profanchik also allegedly used his fists in the fight.
Police say the couple left Foster's three children alone in their car during the fight. The children were turned over to a relative when Profanchik and Foster were arrested.
The police report does not say how badly those involved in the fight were injured.
Both suspects remained in the county jail Wednesday awaiting video arraignments before a municipal judge.
