An 83-year-old Austintown man is being treated for a broken arm and head laceration after being struck by an SUV in the grocery store parking lot.

A police report says the man was walking in the crosswalk at the Giant Eagle on Mahoning Avenue Monday night when he was hit by the SUV.

The driver told police that the sun was in her eyes.  Police say in their report security video shows that both the SUV and the victim were in the shade at the time of the accident.

Police are still investigating.
