Police in Sharon are investigating after a man was robbed and stabbed in the face Thursday evening.

According to a press release, police were called to City Foods on Division Street just before 7:30 p.m. in reference to a stabbing victim. Police observed stab wounds on the man's face and the victim told police he was robbed.

The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police were able to identify three male suspects who fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle in question was located at a home on the 1300 Block of Charles Street in Hermitage. At least one of the suspects was confirmed to be in the home.

Police contacted the owner of the residence, who said he was not home and no one else should have been inside the house.

A search warrant was obtained for the home and two suspects including 48-year-old Shannon Clarke and 34-year-old Larry Moore Jr., both of Hermitage, were taken into custody just before 11:00 p.m.

Both suspects are charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated assault. Both were arraigned Friday morning and both are due back in court July 31.

Meanwhile, one more suspect is still at large in the form of 35-year-old Robert Pegues III of Farrell, who is to be considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for Pegues's arrest with the same charges as the other two suspects.
