Authorities name victim of fatal crash on Youngstown's Southside
The Mahoning County Coroner has released the name of a man who died after a car crashed into a home Thursday on Youngstown's South Side.
Authorities tell 21 News that 41-year-old Michael Stevenson passed away on Friday at a hospital.
Officers with the Youngstown Police Department's Captain's Office had limited information, but confirmed with 21 News that officers responded to a crash at the 3500 Block of Zedaker Street.
Police told 21 News that two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a car driving at a high rate of speed went out of control, hit a stump on the sidewalk, and crashed into a home on the 3500 block of Zedaker Street.
One witness tells 21 News they saw the car speeding down the street and go airborne into the home.
Police say the home was occupied during the crash, but everyone inside was safe.
