Leavittsburg man convicted for road rage incident awaits sentencing in child pornography case
A Leavittsburg accused of forcing a carload of teenagers off a road in Trumbull County last year has now pleaded guilty in a child pornography case.
James Harper, 44, pleaded guilty to two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and a count of pandering obscenity.
According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, the victims were an underage male and female who were both under the age of 14.
Prosecutors say pornography was downloaded to Harper's electronics as the case was being investigated by the Warren Township Police Department and Trumbull County Children Services.
Harper will be declared as a Tier 1 sexual offender at his sentencing. He will have to register with the sheriff's office once per year for the next 15 years.
If Harper's face seems familiar, he's been in the news before.
21 News reported last summer that Harper was charged with assault after police say he forced a carload of teenagers off a road in Warren Township, causing $2,300 in damage to their car.
Harper was convicted of a misdemeanor and sentenced to 30 days in jail for that incident.
