The Pirates avoided a sweep from the Braves picking up a 4-2 victory.

Unfortunately for Bryan Reynolds his hit streak came to an end at 25 games, but other Pirates were able to step up and make big plays. O'Neil Cruz and Rowdy Tellez both hit 2-run home runs to provide offense for Pittsburgh. The pair of home runs came in the 5th inning where Pittsburgh scored all 4 runs on the day.

The Braves cut the deficit to two runs off a sacrifice fly by Orlando Arcia scoring Adam Duvall, but the Pirates defense made sure the Braves comeback attempt would fall short.

Aroldis Chapman is awarded the save for Pittsburgh and the Pirates pickup the teams 40th win of the season. Mitch Keller will be on the mound Tuesday when the Pirates host the Cardinals at PNC Park.
