Rite Aid closing more drug stores in Boardman, Liberty, Champion, Salem

The bankrupt drug store chain Rite Aid has announced another 30 store closures, including four more in the Valley.

The closures, 16 in Ohio and 14 in Michigan include the Rite Aid along Route 224 and Glenwood Avenue in Boardman; Belmont Avenue and Gypsy Lane in Liberty Township; Route 46 and Champion Avenue in Champion; and at East State Street and Southeast Boulevard in Salem.

A document filed in Bankruptcy Court comes a week after Rite Aid announced closings of stores at Mahoning Avenue and Route 46 in Austintown, East Midlothian Boulevard South Avenue in Youngstown, and 304 East State Street in Alliance.

The closing of other locations in the Valley as part of its bankruptcy, including the Rite Aid at the corner of Canfield Road and Tippecanoe Road in Youngstown; Youngstown Road SE and Central Parkway in Warren; Elm Road NE, Howland; Market and Indianola, Youngstown; Mahoning and Schenley Avenues, Youngstown; Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool; 60 South Water St., Sharon; Wilmington and West Clen Moore Road, New Castle.
