Weathersfield train fatality believed to be suicide, autopsy to be conducted on 18-year-old male

The Trumbull County Coroner's Office plans to conduct an autopsy Monday on the person who died after being struck by a train in Weathersfield on Saturday.
According to a police report, the incident is believed to be a suicide. Police have identified the victim as an 18-year-old male.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. near Belmont Avenue and McKees Lane.
Police from Niles and Weathersfield joined CSX Railroad personnel on the scene.
The train had to be stopped at the railroad crossing, temporarily shutting down traffic.
