Fourteen students from Youngstown State University, who are apart of the theatre and dance department are making their international debut later this summer.

The students will be a part of the Off Broadway Musical 'Here There Be Dragons', and will perform as the Steel Penguin Ensemble.

The performance will be held at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which the students will travel to Scotland for with Lecturer Adam Day Howard. 

'Here There Be Dragons' which is inspired by the well-known tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons. The musical follows college friends on the night before they graduate, in which they take on one last Dungeons & Dragons campaign. While on their fictional journey, real-life challenges are presented and they confront fears they have about the future. In the end watchers see that it takes courage to face what may be the unknown. 

The production has a creative team, that includes Adam Day Howard music director, Chase O'Neill whom the book and lyrics are by, music by Theo Teris and Scott Wasserman orchestrations, which is known for his work on 'Hamilton' and 'Dear Evan Hansen'. Lastly, the show will be directed by Austin Harleson and he will try to create a captivating experience for the audience.
