Rite Aid, the large drug store chain that filed for bankruptcy last year, announced another wave of 22 store closures, including eight in Ohio.

A document filed in Bankruptcy Court shows that Rite Aid will close the store at Mahoning Avenue and Route 46 in Austintown, East Midlothian Boulevard South Avenue in Youngstown, and 304 East State Street in Alliance.

News of the closings come less than a week after Rite Aid announced closing stores at Canfield Road and Tippecanoe Road in Cornersburg and 1895 West State Street in Alliance.

Rite Aid has previously closed other locations in the Valley as part of its bankruptcy, including the Rite Aid at the corner of Youngstown Road SE and Central Parkway; Elm Road NE, Howland; Market and Indianola, Youngstown; Mahoning and Schenley Avenues, Youngstown; Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool; 60 South Water St., Sharon; Wilmington and West Clen Moore Road, New Castle.

According to Rite Aid's website, the chain has more than 1,600 locations currently in Ohio, Pennsylvania, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
