June 19 is the national holiday Juneteenth - which is a celebration of the ending of slavery in the US.
On this date in 1865, Texas was the last state to enforce President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation at the end of the Civil War.
Juneteenth was made a National holiday in 2021.
There will be no mail today, banks are closed and all state and federal buildings are closed today.
