Severe thunderstorms rolled through the valley, knocking out electricity in many areas.

According to the Ohio Edison outage report, nearly 2,400 homes and businesses in Mahoning County were without power as of Monday afternoon.

While the outages have mostly subsided, some communities are still dealing with outages with Mahoning County still experiencing 78 and Trumbull County still experiencing 73.

A physician with Dr. David M. H. Davis Family Practice told 21 News the office located at 1320 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown is closed Tuesday due to power still being out.

The North Side also had numerous outages reported in the area and to the east, including into Trumbull County, and storm damage has been reported.

Sharrott Road is closed Monday afternoon with a power pole leaning on lines.

Trumbull County had just over 2,400 without power, and Columbiana County had more than 300 reported outages.

More than 800 outages had been reported in Liberty Township and the surrounding area.

Some traffic signals along Belmont Avenue were out. If traffic-lights are out, remember to treat them as a four-way stop.
