Brightside Project nears $2.48M goal to open Salem Youth Center

A faith-based organization is getting closer to raising the 2.48 million dollars it needs to open a Youth Center in Salem.
The Brightside Project has announced that it has passed a fundraising milestone and is down to the last $500,000 needed to purchase the Former Donnell Ford Lincoln building on Continental Drive.
According to the charity, acquiring the 30,200-square-foot property will make it possible for the Brightside Project to reach more children in Columbiana County and expand its reach into surrounding counties.
The non-profit Brightside Project aims to reach out to children in Columbiana County and surrounding communities in Northeast Ohio who face uncertainties in the home, community, and school.
The project also hopes to help children suffering from academic and complex social-emotional and mental health issues including depression, anxiety, violence, bullying, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts.
