The Ken Ganley Automotive Group has announced the acquisition of Cheddar Auto on Market Street in Boardman on Thursday.

Cheddar Auto is a used car dealership on Market Street in Boardman located just across the street from Ken Ganley Kia. The dealership is now being rebranded as Ken Ganley Buying Center Boardman.

The acquisition was finalized all the way back in November of 2022 and marked Ken Ganley's first entry into Mahoning County with Ken Ganley Kia and the Ken Ganley Buying Center.

"The acquisition of Cheddar Auto aligns with Ken Ganley Automotive Group’s strategy to enhance its portfolio and service capabilities in the automotive market. By integrating Cheddar Auto’s operations, Ken Ganley aims to leverage its innovative car-selling system to offer enhanced value to its customers and provide a seamless and efficient car-selling experience," a press release reads.

Planned improvements to the former Cheddar site include utilizing technology and resources for customers to get a fair vehicle offer.

Additionally, a Ken Ganley Buying Center website will be launched to enhance customer experience with tools designed to streamline the process of buying or selling a vehicle. The release does not say when this website will launch.

As for the employees, the transition will include opportunities for Cheddar employees to receive additional training and take on new roles within the Ken Ganley Automotive Group.

“With the acquisition of Cheddar Auto, now Ken Ganley Buying Center, we are set to redefine the automotive buying experience, offering our customers and the community an even higher standard of service and satisfaction,” said Ken Ganley Automotive Group CEO Ken Ganley.
