There's a new man taking charge of Warren John F. Kennedy Catholic School next month.

The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown announced the hiring of William Pituch as the school's next president Tuesday evening.

Pituch takes the place of outgoing Warren JFK president Joseph Kenneally, who accepted a new position with Kennedy Catholic Schools in Hermitage.

According to the release, Pituch was most recently the Vice President of Academics and Student Affairs at Erie Catholic Preparatory School/Villa Maria Cathedral Preparatory School System.

Pituch oversaw the $22.5 million expansion of Cathedral Prep's campus and worked to merge the two schools.

Prior to that role, Pituch was a social studies teacher at Cathedral Preparatory School and was an adjunct history instructor at the University of Saint Francis and Gannon University. He was also a geography and history instructor at Mercyhurst University.

"Kennedy is a proud community that I am very much looking forward to serving," Pituch said. "In all of my interactions with the board, administration, and staff, it is truly a family that has produced not just great minds, but also great hearts formed in the Catholic faith. I am hoping to advance the mission of the school to enhance, expand, and enrich the experience of our students at all levels."
