Mahoning County Juvenile Court receives $19K technology grant
The Mahoning County Juvenile Court (MCJC) announced that it has received a technology grant exceeding $19,000 from the Ohio Supreme Court.
This grant, aimed at modernizing technological infrastructure, will facilitate upgrades such as advanced scanners and laptops. According to a press release, these enhancements are poised to significantly augment efficiency within the clerk's office while ensuring easier access to public records for families, court staff, and the dedicated attorneys serving the court.
MCJC was one of only six juvenile courts across the state to receive a grant.
"We are thrilled to receive this technology grant from the Ohio Supreme Court," remarked Judge Theresa Dellick. "These upgrades will not only enhance efficiency within our operations but also ensure that families, court staff, and attorneys have seamless access to public records, furthering our commitment to transparency and accessibility."
The implementation of new scanners and laptops is anticipated to yield benefits for the court system, including streamlined document management processes, improved communication capabilities, and enhanced accessibility to critical information.
