Police in New Castle have identified and charged the suspect in the robbery of a credit union back in May.

According to a post on the New Castle Police Department's Facebook page, Robbery charges have been filed against 60-year-old Burnell Williams (pictured above) who is a suspect in the robbery of Family First Credit Union on May 17.

According to court records, Williams is charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of possession of a firearm prohibited, theft, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats and simple assault.

According to a criminal complaint, Williams walked into the credit union wearing a dark blue jacket and a surgical mask and threw a green Crown Royal bag on an employees desk saying "fill it up. This is for real."

Police say Williams had a firearm on him during this time and was beginning to lean in closer to the employee. Police say the employee emptied her drawer and gave Williams approximately $1,641.

According to the complaint, security camera video shows Williams fleeing towards Home Street.

Further investigation pointed police to a Facebook account with the name "Nelly Nell" who police say refers to himself as a "retired bank robber."

Further tips point police to Williams, who police say matched the physical profile of the man in the video. Police also say photos of Williams appear on the Nelly Nell profile.
