Road closure, resurfacing projects planned in Columbiana County
A number of road projects are scheduled to begin over the next few weeks in Columbiana County.
State Route 39 near Salineville will close beginning June 10. The roadway will close to traffic between State Route 164 and Clarks Mills/Steubenville Pike Road for 60 days.
Once that section is complete, State Route 39 will close from State Route 164 to East End Road in Salineville for 60 days. A final phase from Clarks Mills Road/Steubenville Pike Road to Highlandtown will take place in 2025.
State Route 164 will undergo a resurfacing project along a two-mile stretch from Lee Street in Lisbon to Miller Road. Drivers will be able to travel on SR 164 but flaggers will be directing traffic. The project is expected to be finished on September 30.
Resurfacing on a seven-mile stretch of roadway on State Route 644 from Summitville to U.S. Route 30. Flaggers will direct traffic in that area and the project should be done by September 30.
Another resurfacing project will begin on July 1 along State Route 7. The two-mile stretch runs from the southern end of East Liverpool to Campground Road in Wellsville. One lane of north and southbound traffic will be open throughout the project.
The scheduled completion date is October 31.
