The new St. Vincent de Paul thrift store opened its doors in Boardman Tuesday.

The new store is located across the street from the Southern Park Mall in the Boardman Center Plaza where JOANN Fabric and Crafts used to be.

A ribbon cutting was held this morning with Bishop David Bonnar and members of the St. Vincent de Paul's board of directors in attendance.

The store is much bigger than its previous location on Williamson Avenue in Youngstown and offers a wider selection of products.

Sales at the thrift store benefit St. Vincent de Paul's outreach projects.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
