Easter Seals opens new all-inclusive patio in Youngstown
Easter Seals cut the ribbon Tuesday afternoon on its new all-inclusive outdoor patio.
A slab of concrete on the property was transformed into a usable patio space thanks to a generous donation from Phyllis and Vincent Bacon.
The new patio will now serve many uses throughout the year.
"We have a summer camp that we do for kids being raised by an older adult. I anticipate them spending a lot of time out here doing different activities, eating lunch, that kind of thing," CEO of Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties Jody Klase said. "We also have an adult daycare program and they're just chomping at the bit to get out here and be outside with their peers to enjoy the weather and hang out."
Easter Seals offers many resources across the entire Mahoning Valley including home delivered meals to older adults, door to door transportation, a school-based mental health program and they serve as the community center for the deaf.
