With the addition of a 12th football program in 2025-26, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) will begin football divisional play and hold a PAC Football Championship Game to conclude the regular season starting in the fall of 2025.

On April 23rd, 2024, the PAC announced Hiram College would return to the PAC and begin full athletic competition in the 2025-26 season, giving the conference 12 football-playing members. This will allow the league to form six-team North and South Divisions with crossover games beginning in 2025.

In addition, a PAC Football Championship Game will begin in 2025 with the North and South Division winners facing off in Week 11 every season. The winner of the PAC Football Championship Game will receive the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs.

Below will be the PAC football divisions beginning in 2025-26:

The yearly schedule beginning in 2025 will see each PAC team playing all five of its divisional opponents annually, plus two scheduled "crossover" games for seven league games total in weeks 4-10. At the conclusion of week 10, the PAC will announce the week 11 crossover matchups, including the PAC Championship Game. The general format for the week 11 matchups will be 1 North vs 1 South, 2 North vs. 2 South ... 6 North vs. 6 South. Only the PAC Championship can be a rematch from a regular season contest, while all other games will be adjusted by the PAC Office as necessary to avoid any rematches.

The North Division teams all have 3 home/4 away games in 2025 and thus, will host Week 11 crossover games, including the PAC Championship Game, against the South, who all have 4H/3A schedules in 2025 so all teams end up 4H/4A in league contests.

In 2026, that reverses, as the South Division teams are all 3H/4A and will host the 4H/3A North Division teams in week 11, including the PAC Championship game, to reach a 4H/4A balanced schedule for all league teams.

All eight PAC contests will count in the conference standings. The scheduled crossover games have been placed in weeks 4-5, meaning weeks 6-10 are reserved for divisional games before the final crossover weekend in week 11. This ensures that if there is a rematch in the PAC Championship Game, there will be at least a month since the first meeting between the two teams.

The scheduled crossover opponents in weeks 4-5 for each team will also change every season. This was agreed upon by conference teams to minimize the time between crossover schools being off each other's schedules so no team will go longer than three years between playing a PAC team in the other division.

One other note is that teams can schedule two non-PAC games in weeks 1 through 3, with a bye included. However, teams are permitted to mutually agree to move a conference game, with conference approval, to one of the first three weeks if their schedules allow if they prefer to have a bye week later in the season.
