A jury trial date has been set for the former Dean of Students for the Youngstown City School District.

Chivas Whipple's jury trial has been set for October 3 at 8:30 a.m. for a charge of domestic violence.

This follows an incident involving Whipple's daughter when he allegedly grabbed her by the shirt and slammed her into a car in February. 

Whipple plead "not guilty" to the domestic violence charge in March.

While Whipple told officers he was disciplining his daughter for lying to him about where she was, police described the confrontation as excessive.

The court has ordered Whipple to do anger management as a condition of his bond.

Additionally, Whipple's final pre-trial will be held on September 12 at 11:45 a.m.
