Giant Eagle is jumping on the bandwagon with other food retailers by announcing summertime price cuts.

The regional grocery store chain announced in a news release that it is reducing prices on more than 1,000 seasonal items.

The promotion titled “Deals for Days.” will put an estimated $7.5 million back into customers’ wallets over eight weeks, according to Giant Eagle.

According to the news release, products will be marked at about 19% off their original price.

From May 30 through July 31, Giant Eagle and Market District shoppers can save on travel items, picnic needs, cookout food, and health and wellness products.

Just days after Aldi lowered prices on popular summer merchandise, Target announced last week that it is cutting prices on 5,000 items including, food, beverages, and household goods.
