A Hermitage man has pleaded not guilty to OVI after a State Trooper stopped his SUV driving the wrong way on Interstate 80.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on May 5, an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer made a U-turn along I-80 in Austintown after spotting an SUV traveling in the wrong direction.

After pulling the SUV over, the 50-year-old driver Devin Montgomery, told the trooper that he had about five drinks.

After a field sobriety test, a breathalyzer registered Montgomery’s blood alcohol content at .185.

In addition to OVI, Montgomery was cited for driving in the wrong direction.

The patrol posted the trooper’s dashcam footage on Facebook:

A Canfield Post trooper recently arrested this impaired driver after driving the wrong way on I-80 in Mahoning County. As we head into summer, please remember to be responsible and #DriveSober.

Montgomery has another court appearance scheduled on June 10.
