Mahoning and Shenango Valley veterans reflect on the values America must cherish
During a Memorial Day parade in Hermitage and Poland, veterans stood among the graves of those who gave their lives for our country and reflected on the profound ideals they hold close to their hearts.
"I hope we don't lose sight of the sacrifice of our veterans and military personnel. Because they are the ones who truly pay the price for our freedoms and liberties," U.S. veteran Rod Hosler said during the Memorial Day parade in Poland.
Veterans of different ages and branches of the military believe it is vital that America does not forget the importance of not only fighting for liberty and justice, but also the values that are crucial to the nations future.
"Just treating everyone as human beings and the love that we should have for one another no matter who or where you come from." veteran and U.S. Army specialist, Andrea Christy said.
