YSU beats top-seed Wright State, advances to Championship Saturday
The Penguins knocked off Wright State 6-3 Friday night.
The Youngstown State baseball team is still alive in the 2024 Horizon League Baseball Championship.
On Friday, the sixth-seeded Penguins beat fourth-seeded Milwaukee, 3-2.
The Penguins followed up with a 6-3 win over top-seeded Wright State punching their ticket to Championship Saturday.
Jack Jackson had two hits and two RBI's for the Penguins in the win over the Raiders.
YSU will play the number two seed Northern Kentucky Saturday at noon in Dayton.
If the Penguins win, they'll play NKU again at 4 p.m. in a winner-take-all contest for the Horizon League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
