Art lovers have plenty to look forward to this summer with three new exhibits expected to open at Youngstown State University's McDonough Museum of Art.

The three exhibits will be Paper, Paint & Canvas by Sharon Dundee, Curiosities by Ron Krygowski and The I Just Like You: New & Inspiring Fiber Art by Heather Seno.

These exhibits will open May 31 and go through July 20.

Dundee, a Cleveland native, specializes in "abstract-expressionist analogue collage" and mixed media painting. She is nationally recognized for her work and won several awards for it.

Krygowski's work is inspired by fantasy, Catholic imagery, costume and embellishment. His work has been featured at the Butler Institute of American Art and the Trumbull Art Gallery.

Seno, a recent graduate from Kent State University and an alumna of YSU, has curated her exhibit to showcase fiber artists using new technology to assist in their creation process, expanding traditional fiber art with new material use, production modes and abstract compositions.

An opening reception for all of the exhibitions will be on May 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., according to a news release from YSU.

Both the exhibits and the opening reception will be free to the public.
