Fire crews battled a big fire at the Canfield Fairgrounds Saturday morning, but it didn't come as a surprise to them.

A guard at the fairgrounds told our 21 News reporter on scene that the fire happened at the pumpkin barn, and the burn was actually planned.

Crews from multiple departments were on scene to supervise the burn. 21 News was told that the firemen did express some concern for neighboring buildings, but are keeping a close eye on the situation.
