Summer concert season is here and a Youngstown tradition since 2017 is returning and will feature a headliner that's been putting out country hits for over 30 years.
Country music fans in Youngstown will like it, love it and want some more of it because country star Tim McGraw has been announced as the 2024 Y-Live concert headliner.
The concert will take place Friday, August 2 at Wean Park in Downtown Youngstown at 7:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m. with prices starting at $65. Tickets and advanced parking can only be purchased online via Ticketmaster.
Presale tickets are also available on Thursday, May 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. using the password YLIVE24.
McGraw is a staple in the country music world. According to a press release from JAC Management, he's the most played country artist on the radio since his debut in 1992 with two of his singles spending at least 10 weeks at number 1.
McGraw also starred in movies including blockbuster hits like Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side and acted as the narrator for the hit movie The Shack.
McGraw will be joined by special guests including young country singer Warren Zeiders. Zeiders is only 24 years old, but has already made a name for himself winning CMT's award for "Breakthrough Male Video of the Year" for his song Pretty Little Poison.
More special guests will be revealed at a later date.
Y-Live has taken place in Youngstown since 2017 and featured acts like the Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. Last summer's concert starred Kid Rock.
Y-Live has been at different venues, including Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University and Wean Park in Downtown Youngstown. This is the third year Y-Live has taken place at Wean Park.
"Anyone who joined us these last two years saw how perfectly the space is transformed into a state-of-the-art concept setup. We look forward to using Wean Park once again to host this great event headlined by one of the most legendary country music artists of all time," said Wean Park Executive Director Jordan Ryan.
