Dozens of people lined up along Market Street in Downtown Youngstown Wednesday afternoon for a pro-Palestinian rally.

The group gathered in front of the U.S. District Court beginning around 3:30 p.m.

Protesters held up signs, some of them displaying messages saying "Genocide in Gaza" and "Free Palestine."

Demonstrations have been happening across the country, most notably on the campuses of some of the nation's largest universities.

A report from the Associated Press said more than half a million Palestinians have been displaced as the Israeli military escalates operations in Rafah and Northern Gaza.

According to CNN, more than 450,000 people who have fled from Rafah are lacking shelter and water.
