Police: Suspected perfume shoplifters found sitting at Southern Park Mall Food Court
One of two women accused of stealing perfume from a Southern Park Mall store didn’t seem to be in any hurry to get away until Boardman Police showed up.
Police were told that Terrashia Davenport and Nyesha Johnson shoplifted a Yves Saint Laurent perfume box and a Prada perfume box from the fragrance counter of a mall store Tuesday afternoon, then sat down at a Food Court table.
That’s when they were confronted by an officer who reported that the women still had the perfume boxes.
As Davenport was being arrested, the officer says Johnson walked away and then ran through the mall concourse after a second officer began to chase her.
Johnson was eventually arrested in a store.
Both have been charged with theft. Johnson is also charged with obstructing official business.
The perfume boxes were returned to the store.
