Here’s a story you’re not likely to see on one of those TV police dramas.

Boardman Police say an officer was called by a Dollar General store manager on Market Street Wednesday to report damage to one of their displays.

An employee told police that a white-haired, elderly man walked up to a display showing kites for sale and began to urinate on them.

When the clerk asked the man if he needed assistance, the customer replied, “No. I’m good” and continued to urinate. The man then left the store.

The manager told police that the kites and display, worth about $200, were ruined and had to be thrown out.

Police told the manager to call if the man comes back to the store.
