Two 20-year-old suspects were arrested after allegedly leading Mahoning County sheriff's deputies and Canfield police officers on a chase on dirt bikes Wednesday night.

According to a report from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, the chase began just after 9:30 p.m. when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on two males riding dirt bikes down West Akron Canfield Road near Gault Road.

Deputies say the dirt bikes did not stop, so deputies began shouting verbal commands over a loudspeaker to stop the bikes. Deputies say one of the riders made some sort of finger gesture at them.

Dash camera video from Canfield Police, who assisted in the chase shows this gesture where it appears the suspect is waving at deputies.

Deputies were able to get beside one of the riders, identified as 20-year-old Josue Rodriguez (pictured above on right) who allegedly told deputies the bike would not stop referring to the brakes.

After awhile, Rodriguez's bike began to slow down and stall and deputies were able to take him into custody. The video shows deputies pulling Rodriguez off the bike and onto the road.

Deputies later found that there was nothing wrong with the brakes and Rodriguez could have stopped as instructed.

In the meantime, the other suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Anthony Serrano (pictured above on left) continued to flee deputies fleeing to the back of a residence near a garage according to reports.

Serrano was eventually taken into custody at gun point.

Both suspects are charged with one count of failure to comply with signal or order of a police officer and Serrano was hit with an additional charge of resisting arrest.
