Below is a comprehensive list of summer events throughout the Valley including fairs, festivals, live music and fun for the whole family.

JULY:

  • July 24: Beaver Township Concerts in the Park - Vintage Vinyl: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • July 25: Music In Mauthe Park: 6:00 p.m. American Made
  • July 25: A Tribute to The Beatles at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre: Relive Beatlemania with Beatles tribute band Rain playing the band's greatest hits at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $25 plus applicable fees and can be purchased here.
  • July 25: Music in Boardman Park - Girard Swingtime Band: The Girard Swingtime Band will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • July 25: Jeep Nite at Quaker Steak & Lube: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon. This month's event will be Christmas in July themed and will feature music, food, games and giveaways.
  • July 25-28: Basilica of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Italian Festival Youngstown: This event will take place at Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown. The festival will feature a raffle with nightly drawings of $1,000 and a grand prize drawing of $5,000 taking place on July 28. Winners do not need to be present. Additionally, this year's festival will feature rides, a bounce house, face painting, food and much more.
  • July 26: Outback Ray's Amazing Animal Show: This event will take place at the Canfield Gazebo from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will give kids of all ages the opportunity to see captive-born exotic animals up close and personal. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs for seating.
  • July 27: Queen Nation #1 at River Rock at the Amp: The seventh show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Queen tribute band Queen Nation #1 playing all of the band's greatest hits. The band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with opening act No Funk No Justice taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased here.
  • July 27: Three Yo at Bulldog's Bar & Grill: Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • July 27: Teez at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery: Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • July 27-28: Summer Festival of the Arts in Wean Park: This event, hosted by The Cultural Alliance will take place in Wean Park in Downtown Youngstown. The festival will feature all types of art including painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, mixed media artists and much more.
  • July 27-28: Hermitage Art Festival: This event will take place July 27 from noon to 9:00 p.m. and again July 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will act as an outdoor artist's marketplace featuring art vendors and showcases, musical and theatrical performances, live music, food trucks, children's activities and much more. There will also be a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Saturday.
  • July 28: Full House "Oldies with Harmony" 6:00 p.m. at the Bicentennial Gazebo, 4275 Warren Sharon Road in Vienna.
  • July 28: Fairfield Ruritan Club 30th Annual Car Show. Noon to 3 p.m. S. Main St.. Columbiana. Classic cars, trucks and tractors. Food and drink, auctions.
  • July 28: Christmas in July at Boardman Park: Even Santa likes to take a summer vacation and on July 28, his destination will be Boardman Park for Christmas in July. Guests will get to have lunch with Santa in the Larricia Family Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition, there will also be cookie decorating and other holiday-themed activities. Tickets are $15 and will benefit Akron Children's Hospital. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • July 29-August 4: Columbiana County Fair: This event kicks off July 29 and will last until August 4. More information will be included when available.
  • July 29: Canfield Summer Concert Series - John Reese: John Reese will play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.
  • July 30: Concerts in Austintown Twp. Park. 7-8:30 pm. Davis & Henner
  • July 31: Beaver Township Music in the Park - The Swing Time Band: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

AUGUST:

  • August 1: Music In Mauthe Park: 6:00 p.m. Dawson
  • August 1: Foolin' Ourselves at the Columbiana County Fair: This event will take place at the Columbiana County Fairground from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature Styx tribute band Foolin' Ourselves playing the band's greatest hits.
  • August 1: Music in Boardman Park - Speed LimitSpeed Limit will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • August 2: Paige Marie at the Columbiana County Fair: This event will take place at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will feature Paige Marie's blend of rock, country and pop music. 
  • August 2: Fight Night at the Amp featuring Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik: Even if rock shows aren't your thing, the Warren Community Amphitheatre still might have something for you this summer. Local boxing legend Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik will be at the Amphitheatre at 5:30 p.m. for Fight Night at the Amp. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
  • August 3: ZOSO at River Rock at the Amp: The eighth show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Led Zeppelin tribute band ZOSO playing all of the band's greatest hits. The band takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. with opening act AC & The Heat taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here
  • August 3: Broken Reins at Bulldog's Bar & Grill: Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • August 3: The Locals at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery: Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • August 4: Train Wreck "Country" concert, 6:00 p.m. at the Bicentennial Gazebo, 4275 Warren Sharon Road in Vienna. 
  • August 5: Canfield Summer Concert Series - Uptown Band: The Uptown Band will play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.

  • August 9: Miss Americanas at Eastwood Field: Fans of Taylor Swift can gather at Eastwood Field August 9 at 7:00 p.m. to see Taylor Swift tribute band Miss Americanas pay tribute to the many eras of the pop superstar's career. Tickets start at $15 each and can be purchased here.

  • August 16: Skylife at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery: Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • August 17: Disco Inferno at River Rock at the Amp: The ninth show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Disco Inferno, who will make the audience boogie down by playing the biggest disco hits of the 1970s from Earth Wind and Fire, Kool & The Gang, KC & The Sunshine Band and more. They'll take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with opening act 1988 taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
  • August 17: Touch a Truck & All Things That Go: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, 1831 Perry Highway, Volant, PA. Free Admission. Fun filled day for local families to see all kinds of vehicles including fire trucks, a large crane, police cruiser, semi trucks, tractors and a school bus.
  • August 17: Hellz Bellz at Bulldog's Bar & Grill: Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • August 17: Late Summer Fest at Bake Me Treats: Bake Me Treats is celebrating fair season with its Late Summer Fest featuring local vendors and an Auntie Anne's Pretzel truck. The bakery will also be stocked with fair-themed treats.
  • August 18: Good Question "Music from all eras and genres" concert, 6:00 p.m. at the Bicentennial Gazebo, 4275 Warren Sharon Road in Vienna. 
  • August 18: Papa Dave's Beaters, Beans and Burritos Car Show: If you're a fan of Mexican food and cars, this is the event for you. The event will take place at the El Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant on Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles. Registration can be done on the day of the event and will cost $10. Registation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the event will start at noon. All makes and models are welcome. There will be music, awards, food from El Jalapeno and more. 
  • August 19: Canfield Summer Concert Series - Jim Popp and Helena Vadino: Jim Popp and Helena Vadino will play on the Canfield Green from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests must bring their own lawn chairs.
  • August 20: Concerts in Austintown Twp. Park. 7-8:30 pm. Sweet Sounds by Randy & Jack
  • August 21: Beaver Township Music in the Park - Kelly Kreidler Dunlap: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • August 22: Concerts in Boardman Park - Celebration: Celebration will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maag Theatre. The show is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • August 23: Silver Springs - A Fleetwood Mac Experience at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery: Part of Magic Tree Pub & Eatery in Boardman's summer music series. There is a $5 cover charge for all shows and each show lasts from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • August 24: Forever Seger - The Silver Bullet Experience at River Rock at the Amp: The 10th show of River Rock at the Amp will feature Bob Seger tribute band Forever Seger playing all of his greatest hits. The band will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. and Neil Young tribute band Harvest will open for the band at 5:30 p.m.
  • August 24: RDNA at Bulldog's Bar & Grill: Part of Bulldog's Bar & Grill in Poland's summer concert series. Concerts last from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • August 25: Panerathon: Registration for this event is going on right now. This event will raise money for the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center in Youngstown. Participants can either partake in the 2-mile or 10k courses and may register as an individual or as a team. Teams must consist of five people or more.   • August 27: Concerts in Austintown Twp. Park. 7-8:30 pm. Girard Swing Time Band
  • August 28-September 2: The 178th Canfield Fair: A Valley tradition for over a century, folks can spend their Labor Day weekend at the Canfield Fair and enjoy its traditional rides, food games and of course, entertainment. There will be two nights of live music at the Grandstand with country singer Brantley Gilbert taking the stage Sunday, September 1. Details on the entertainment for Monday, September 2 will be released at a later time.

They'll take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with Pat Benatar tribute band Invincible opening for them at 5:30 p.m.
