Boardman man accused of performing sexual act on self in front of neighbor
A Boardman man is charged with public indecency after police say he performed a sexual act on himself in front of his neighbor.
According to a police report, police responded to a home on the 1700 Block of Lynn Mar Avenue in reference to a public indecency report.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the homeowner who told officers she was walking towards her garage when her neighbor, identified as 37-year-old Brandon Sparks came outside and called her over to his fence asking her to do something.
The woman told police when she asked Sparks what he wanted her to do, he exposed his genitalia and started performing a sexual act on himself and asked her to watch him further telling her he was "into it" and that he does it all the time.
Police say the woman declined and walked away, but Sparks continued on with the sexual act.
Officers were eventually able to make contact with Sparks, who denied ever asking the woman to watch him and said he only talked to her about happenings in the neighborhood.
According to the report, Sparks told police that he does sometimes walk in his yard naked, but denied doing it that day. However, police say he did admit to performing the sex act on himself, but told officers that the woman did not see him doing it.
Sparks was placed under arrest and charged with one count of public indecency. He was arraigned on this charge in court at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
