Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana county road projects: See where repaving and repairs will be happening

With each spring, flowers bloom, and orange barrels begin to pop up all over the Valley. The good weather allows the road crews in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties to fix our roadways.

Here is a breakdown by county of planned county projects:

MAHONING COUNTY

The tentative paving list will cost approximately $7,637,832, according to the Mahoning Co. engineer's website includes:

The 2024 Road Improvement Projects include 4.17 miles totaling $1,146,402.90 for work at:

There are 3.17 miles of road improvements planned this year, totaling $1,356,655.50:

2.23 miles of road rehab planned, costing $350,850.79:

PAVING PROJECTS/LENGTH/COST

Austintown Warren Rd./West Park Ave. – 4.30 miles; $1,326,560.26

Liberty St./Trumbull Ave. – 1.48 miles ; $676,591.78 

Larchmont Ave. – 1.49 miles ; $938,106.85

OTHER ROAD PROJECTS

Road Pavement Marking; $259,221.69 (Estimate)

Bridge Projects

COLUMBIANA COUNTY

Columbiana County is looking at paving around 10 miles of the total road while chipping and sealing nearly 102 miles this year.

PAVING LIST

Here are the roads that will be repaved, and the distance will cost around $2 million. Slated to begin in August and completed by October.

CHIP & SEAL

Total Chip and Seal Roads, total 101.78 miles, costing approximately $3 million.
