A sentencing hearing is scheduled Wednesday in a Carroll County courtroom for a Beloit man convicted in connection with a crash that killed three people, including an East Liverpool man.

Fifty-five-year-year-old Douglas Mackey pleaded no contest to three counts of vehicular homicide in February.

The charges stem from a crash that occurred in Carroll County, Ohio in April of 2023 that killed 60-year-old Randy Simmons of East Liverpool along with two other men from Hammondsville, Ohio.

Troopers with OSP say the crash occurred when Mackey struck a Honda Odyssey head-on after traveling left of center into the opposite lane.
