The Sharon City School District's Robotics team got a big send off as it heads to the world championships next week.

The FIRST World Championships will take place in Houston, Texas from April 17-20.

The Sharon Tiger Techs team consists of of nine students from 5th to 8th grade and is one of two teams from the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys competing in Houston.

Austintown Falco Tech also qualified after a second place finish in Cincinnati last weekend.
