The man involved in the murder of two people in Youngstown learned his fate in court on Thursday.

Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Patrick Kiraly tells 21 News 24-year-old Mikese Stevens was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of murder.

Kiraly says thanks to a plea deal, the sentence of 30 years to life in prison was cut in half to 15 years.

The charges stem from the double murder of 41-year-old Kimberly Kalasky and 51-year-old Joseph Sanders on Cherry Hill Drive in Youngstown back in December of 2022.
