Jameson's Candy in New Castle announces closing date after 79 years in business
Following the Easter holiday, Jameson's Candy has set its closing date as Friday, April 19.

After nearly eight decades, a candy store in Western Pennsylvania is closing.
Jameson's Candy announced its plans to close on its Facebook Page at the beginning of February but did not say when their final day would be.
Following the Easter holiday, Jameson's Candy has set its closing date as Friday, April 19.
They posted the announcement on Facebook, saying:
Thank you to all our customers. We appreciate your business and support for the past 79 years. We are very thankful that we have been able to make our community a sweeter place.

The Wilmington Road business had been serving homemade candy to the community since 1945.
