POLICE: Youngstown home shot up after dispute over phone call
Youngstown Police are investigating after a home on the city's south side was shot up following a dispute over a phone call.
According to a police report, officers responded to a home on the 3300 Block of Hudson Avenue shortly after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday in reference to gunfire.
Upon arrival, police found six shell casings in front of the driveway along with two bullet holes in the front porch.
Police spoke to the homeowner, who told officers her granddaughter called her moments before the house was shot up telling her she had just gotten off the phone with her boyfriend who told her he was going to go to her grandmother's house and "shoot it up."
Police say while the homeowner was on the phone with her granddaughter, she heard four to five shots fired outside the house.
According to the report, police called the granddaughter, who told officers that she was on a FaceTime call with her boyfriend when the two got into an argument.
Police say while the two were on the call, the granddaughter was able to see her boyfriend getting ready to leave the house and sneaking out through a window before running down the street and hanging up the phone.
At this point, the report, court and jail records do not indicate that any arrests have been made or any charges have been filed at this time.
